Hello again!
It’s June—and that means summer is just around the corner (or already here, depending on where you live)! This is a time of transition: students are finishing school, families are planning vacations, and the days are longer and brighter. I hope you’re able to enjoy the sunshine and, wherever you are in the world, keep practicing your English in fun and useful ways.
Let’s dive into this month’s tips and updates!

🎧 Pronunciation Focus: The Silent "E" at the End of Words
This month, let’s talk about something small that makes a big difference—the silent "e" at the end of words.
It doesn’t make a sound, but it changes the vowel in the word!
For example:
-
hop vs. hope
-
bit vs. bite
-
mad vs. made
When there’s a silent “e” at the end, the vowel before it is usually long.
This means it “says its name.”
👉 Try saying these word pairs out loud:
kit / kite
man / mane
pet / Pete
📌 Practice Tip: Say the short word first, then the “silent e” version. Feel the difference in your mouth shape and sound. (Over-exaggerate your mouth/lip movements to work your muscles!)
