🪻Texas in Bloom: The Bluebonnet
First, I want to share a little bit about the photo above. I live in north Texas and our state flower is the Texas Bluebonnet. During this time of year, you can see these vibrant blue flowers with white tips blooming along roadsides, fields, and highways. Many people take photos in the bluebonnet fields—it’s a beloved tradition in Texas!
If you’re ever in Texas during spring, be sure to look out for these stunning flowers.
😉April 1 – April Fool’s Day
April Fool’s Day is a lighthearted holiday celebrated in many English-speaking countries. On this day, people play practical jokes on each other, and newspapers, websites, and companies sometimes share fake stories as a fun tradition. If you hear something unusual on April 1st, be sure to double-check before believing it!
Common phrases related to April Fool’s Day:
-
“Are you pulling my leg?” – This means, "Are you joking with me?"
-
"You got me!" – Used when you admit that someone successfully tricked you.
