1. Listening:   audio/multiple choice.
2. Speaking: This part is optional, but recommended.  
      There is a reading passage in which you may read aloud and record yourself. After you are satisfied with your recording, you can upload it and Teacher Angela will listen to your speech sample and give you feedback within 2-5 business days.

Transition from foundational sounds to fluent, natural American English.This course focuses on mastering seven key vowels and diphthongs often confused by non-native speakers, including the subtle differences between the /uw/ and /U/ sounds and the contrast between /ow/ and /a/. You will also tackle crucial consonant pairs like /s/ and /z/, the challenging TH sounds, and the essential distinction between R and L. Most importantly, you will master the principles of Reduced Speech, learning how to naturally weaken and shorten non-stressed words to sound more fluid and native-like, significantly improving your overall pace and rhythm. This course includes video lessons, notes, digital worksheets, and targeted practice exercises to ensure improvements in your clarity and confidence.
